Treasure Valley · U-shape sectionals

U-shape sectionals — the showpiece for a great room.

U-shaped and pit sectionals — the shape that anchors a 16×20 great room without leaving you facing the wall. Hand-inspected Thomasville and Aiden & Ivy configurations comparable to the Pottery Barn Harper U and RH Cloud people price. Photographed honestly, condition-rated 1–10.

What makes a U-shape work in a room

U-sectionals were designed for the open great room — they break the space into a defined seating area without putting anyone’s back to the kitchen. Most U-shapes seat 6–8 comfortably. They need a minimum 14×16 footprint to breathe; cram one into a 12×14 and the room fights back.

The U-shapes people price — and what we stock instead

Pricing a Pottery Barn Harper U? (deep-seat chenille, $4,500+ new) — our deep-seat Thomasville chaise and U configurations cover the same family-room scale for a fraction.

Pricing an RH Cloud? (the showpiece pit, $7,500+ new) — our largest Thomasville Lowell modular sets rearrange into comparable pit and U footprints.

Pricing a West Elm Andes 3+ piece? — our Ontai and Aiden & Ivy modulars bring the same reconfigurable flexibility, hand-inspected and condition-rated 1–10.

Common questions

How big does my room need to be for a U-sectional?

Minimum 14×16 feet for the room to breathe. 16×20 is ideal. Below 14×14 and the U will dominate the space awkwardly.

Are U-shapes harder to deliver than L-shapes?

Slightly — more pieces to maneuver, especially up stairs. We measure your stairwells and doorways before delivery so there are no surprises.

How many people fit on a typical U-sectional?

Six to eight comfortably. Some larger Pottery Barn and RH configurations seat ten.
